When you want to take your canine companion with you a road trip adventure, you need a vehicle that can comfortably carry you and your furry friend. According to an Autotrader study, the 2019 Buick Regal TourX is one of the best cars to drive your dog in.
The dog-friendly vehicle has a number of features that are
beneficial for you and your pet. The Regal TourX has available leather seating,
which makes it easier to clean off dog hair and dirt when compared to regular
cloth seats. It also possesses a low cargo area, making it more accessible for
dogs with shorter legs to climb into the vehicle.
The Regal TourX also has plenty of available cargo space, thanks
to the available 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats. Plus, the cargo floor is
level, so you can easily bring a crate or bed for your dog to relax in. Available
cargo area tie-downs also help keep your other cargo in place.
Additional useful features for dog lovers are rear air vents, which keep the interior cooler. The suspension also makes the ride smoother so you and your dog can better relax. We at Sterling Buick GMC hope you and your pet have a fun and safe adventure in the 2019 Buick Regal TourX. Discover more convenient and innovative features when you take the crossover out for a test drive.
Premium vehicles like the ones at Sterling Buick GMC retain
their value best when you care for them. That means regular car washes and
detailing, inside and out. Make sure your garage is stocked with the following
products to keep your car clean.
- Car wash soap and wax. Don’t be tempted by the dish soap you have in your kitchen. For optimal results in protecting its paint for years to come, use a soap from an auto parts store that is specifically designed to clean cars. Follow up with a thorough wax.
- Microfiber towels. You may also be tempted to use bath towels or even old T-shirts when scrubbing your car and drying it off. This can be a huge mistake, as it can eventually scratch the paint. Instead, use soft microfiber towels to avoid scratches when drying your car.
- Pressure washer. Don’t rely on the garden hose. Instead, browse the internet for a power washer meant to wash vehicles.
- Other products. Your garage should also include a wheel/tire cleaner and a headlight renewal kit.
vacuum and carpet cleaner. Your feet bring lots of unwanted dirt into your
Buick or GMC. Get a portable, cordless vacuum to make easy work of the cleanup.
And always remember to clean the carpets after using the correct shampoo.
conditioner. To maintain the integrity of your leather, regularly clean it
with a high-quality leather conditioner.
interior cleaner. For easy interior detailing, you can purchase an
all-in-one interior cleaner that works on leather, vinyl, carpet, and fabric.
If you want your vehicle to run as cleanly as it looks, bring it to Sterling Buick GMC for an inspection and tune-up.
If you’ve taken your dogs on a road trip before, you know the challenges that can arise. Traveling with your four-legged friends can be an absolute joy, but if you want to do it safely — and sanely — you’ll want to take note of these simple pet-travel tips:
Ease Them Into It
If your dog is unaccustomed to driving or
being in a car, don’t shock it with a multi-day trek. Take it on a few
moderate-length drives leading up to the full trip to ease her into it. Even
animals who are veterans of in-car riding could use a little refamiliarization
before an extended journey.
If a crate can fit safely inside your vehicle,
consider bringing it with you and leaving your dog inside it during the drive.
They may hate to be cooped up, but this will be the safest place for them in a
collision. It will also prevent them from jumping around and being a
distraction to the driver. If you can’t fit a crate, consider alternate means
of harnessing your dog in place.
Food and water are a must, of course, but
don’t forget these other pet travel essentials: a beloved toy or pillow,
blanket, leash, pooper-scooper, medications, extra collar, and a brush.
Sterling Buick GMC has many SUVs and trucks in stock that make great road trip vehicles for you and your dog.
General Motors is slowly doling out details on the newest edition of the Buick Encore crossover. The Encore has been the Buick brand’s best-selling model for three years in a row, and here at Sterling Buick GMC, we can’t wait to see the newest version.
At the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show, Buick unveiled two versions,
the Encore and the Encore GX. Both will likely be available in the Chinese
market, since China is the automaker’s largest market, but it looks as if the
Encore GX will replace the regular Encore here in the U.S.
The new Encore GX has a wheelbase that’s about 3.4 inches
longer than current generations of the Encore. It sits on the new VSS-F
platform that GM plans to use on many of its future models to simplify
manufacturing and engineering so that better-differentiated designs reach
customers more quickly around the world.
GM says the 2020 Encore GX will arrive with an
eighth-generation Ecotec engine and two transmission options: a nine-speed
Hydra-Matic automatic or a CVT. Although GM didn’t provide specs for the Encore
GX, it says this new model will be more efficient than the outgoing Encore.
It’s not clear yet when the 2020 Encore GX will arrive at dealerships, so stay tuned for more info!
